OPEN AND CLOGGING-PROOF STRUCTURE
Master’s 5-8m s-tine harrows have a 3.30 metre-long frame and 8 tine axles. The tines are distributed evenly across the harrow frame and cover a wide surface area. Thanks to the even and open tine spacing, the 8cm interval between tines allows good pass through of plant residues for successful cultivation even in fields with lots of straw. The harrow has a sturdy and durable structure.
POWER FOR SEEDBED PREPARATION IN CLAY SOILS
Master harrows are an excellent choice for preparing seedbeds in clay soil. The Master harrow’s tine is sturdy and its geometry means it retains its working depth excellently. The tine also pulverises the soil effectively. The load-bearing wheels keep the frame at the same precise height and prevent the field from becoming too compacted. The wide range of additional accessories means that you can increase the harrow’s soil cultivation and levelling effect.
CLOG-PROOFNESS IN LIGHTER SOILS
Master harrows are also suitable for use in lighter soil, even if there is lots of crop residue in the field. The load-bearing wheels carry the harrow at a constant height while the open tine distribution enables the harrow to function without becoming clogged. Extensive adjustments that can be made to both the harrow and the accessories help to prevent clogging and ensure an optimal result. For fields with lots of crop residue, we recommend a two-row following harrow.
Master s-tine harrows have a 3.30 metre long frame which guarantees good levelling properties in all conditions. The long frame means that the harrow moves soil along with it to level the surface of the field for optimal cultivation conditions. The harrow can also be equipped with two crossboards for extremely high levelling power. With two crossboards, a Master harrow can handle light surface harrowing on ploughed fields to ensure even drying and to prevent excess evaporation.

THE MASTER RANGE NOW INCLUDES 9-10M WORKING WIDTH
Wider models offer the same properties as the Master range of products, but they also add something completely new. Master 900-1000 models are equipped with the familiar 11x45 S-tines and the frame is as sturdy as in other Master products. Working depth is adjusted using memory cylinders, as with other Potila products. However, new features include a different wheel structure in the middle section – the bogie structure has been replaced with large, individual wheels.
EVEN CULTIVATION – SAFE ON THE ROAD
The large, 480-45/17 wheels offer a large load-bearing surface area, which means the harrow moves lightly over the surface of the field. Sinking is minimal due to the large wheels, and the wide ground contacting area makes the harrow very stable, even on ploughed soil. When driving on the road, the large individual wheels stabilise the motion and the harrow is very easy to tow. The design of all Master harrows has also sufficient drawbar weight.
POWERFUL BRAKES IN THE 800-1000 MODELS
All of Potila’s 800-1000 models are available with powerful brakes, which increase safety and make the machine compliant with legislation in all conditions. The brakes are known as combi-brakes, which means that they can be controlled with pressurised air or with hydraulics, depending on the tractor pulling the harrow. In all models, brakes are installed on individual wheels, so even the 800 models are delivered with an 480-45/17 individual wheel structure if you choose brakes as an additional accessory.
