PENETRATION WHEN WORKING WITH STRAW
Solver harrows are equipped with high 10x65 spring tines, whose geometry and height allow for good penetration of plant residue. The spacing between the tines is also more open than in traditional s-tine harrows, and the tine distribution is even. The penetrative tine distribution makes it possible for the biomass to pass through the harrow without clogging it. The 120mm tine spacing, 8 tine axles and 3.3m long frame offer great possibilities for spring tine harrowing even when working with stubble.
POWER FOR SEEDBED PREPARATION IN CLAY SOIL
Solver’s effectively vibrating tine combined with a 60mm point provides an even cultivation bottom. The height of the tine, its cross-sectional profile and geometry mean that the tine vibrates strongly and has good pulverising ability. The front crossboard and following accessories make pulverisation more effective. Solver is always available equipped and ready to meet the needs of the farm and soil types.
VERSATILITY FOR LIGHTER TYPES OF SOIL
Solver is an excellent option for farms which use intensive tillage on light types of soil. Solver’s powerful levelling properties make a great seedbed and a great base for silage grass. Any root balls or heavy crop residue that might be present in the soil is not an issue due to the penetrative structure of the harrow.
ENABLING NEW FARMING METHODS
Solver can also be used to introduce new cultivation methods, such as spring straw harrowing, where the distribution of straw over the field can be levelled out, or minimal tilling in the autumn, which makes weeds and spill seeds sprout, so that the field is cleaner the following growing season. When equipped with goosefoot blades, Solver is also an excellent choice for managing perennial weeds.
MANAGING PERENNIAL WEEDS
STURDY AND DURABLE FRAME
Solver spring tine harrows use a sturdy 3.29 metre-long frame. The tines are located along the frame on eight tine axles to effectively prevent the harrow from becoming clogged. The harrow frame’s sturdiness also achieves sufficient tine weight and the tine will not move to a shallower cultivation depth even in stiff soils.
WHEELS ON DIFFERENT AXLES
The spring tine harrow’s wheels are installed on four axles to keep the motion of the harrow steady. The wheels on different axles prevent the harrow from dipping. The steady movement of the harrow through the field ensures level cultivation and makes harrowing easier.
INGENIUS WORKING DEPTH ADJUSTMENT
The working depth of the Solver spring tine harrow is adjusted using a ingenius memory cylinder. The depth can be adjusted from the tractor cab without the driver needing to climb on the harrow. This is a great feature in fields where the type of soil can vary lots. Hydraulic adjustment is extremely precise, and even extremely minor adjustments are possible.
Potila harrows have clear and easy-to-read scales for adjusting working depth and crossboards. The scales for the front part of the frame are ergonomically placed to the front-right, which makes it effortless to check the working depth and crossboard position. The front crossboard’s scale is integrated into the front crossboard and the rear crossboard has its own scale to the rear of the harrow.
